Stitching the Forest Together
Inspired by the environment in which she lives, Lucia is at her happiest when she is collaborating with artists and scientists to illustrate facets of the natural world. She makes paper and botanical contact prints, draws with ink and watercolor, and incorporates stitching into her projects.

Frequently making use of unique structures and forms, her artworks range from books that fit in one hand to those that span a gallery.
<-- A Seasonal Companion

At her presentation for the Book Arts Guild, Lucia will discuss her artist book projects that focus on the natural and human history of the Southern Salish Sea, her attempts to reach a wider audience, and her work creating opportunities for other artists.
