Dana Harris Seeger is a printmaker, educator and book artist living and working in Poulsbo. During the evening's talk, Dana will walk participants through her process of creating multi layered prints, cutting, gluing and arranging them in unique ways to create unique "prints" and artist books. Each piece Dana creates is one of a kind, even though her methods include traditional printmaking such as lithography, serigraphy, monotype and intaglio. She really enjoys the process of bringing each piece together under the theme of "capturing the ephemeral nature of time and memory".

Dana was born in San Francisco and grew up half in El Granada (CA) and half in Indiana. She received her BA in Painting from Anderson University in 2004 and an MFA in Printmaking from San Jose State University in 2011. In 2012 Dana was an Artist in Residence at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley (CA) and taught Lithography there. In 2014 Dana co-created an art studio and school in San Jose called the School of Visual Philosophy; currently she serves as Program Director with her husband, sculptor Yori Seeger. She now lives in Poulsbo (WA) with her husband, daughter Lyla, and twin boys Hayden and Esben.

An enthusiastic (some may say compulsive ;-) instructor who loves to teach, Dana offers online classes in topics such as case bound bookbinding, encaustic, screen printing (all sorts) and crafting your own artist statement.
