Welcome to the Book Arts Guild
Created in 1979 by a small group of Seattle book enthusiasts, BAG reflects the wide variety of arts and crafts sheltered under this umbrella: everything from bookbinding and calligraphy to bibliophilia and artists’ books.
We host lectures by major artists, coordinate instructional workshops with craftspeople, and support the regional book arts community. Our goal is to connect and support anyone interested in books, from artist to enthusiast.

Annual dues are $25. Membership provides announcements for monthly meetings, discounts on classes, and a connection to others in the community. Lectures are free and open to the public, so feel welcome to attend one to see if you are interested in membership. Take the opportunity to explore this venerable, versatile and revolutionary medium!
